Ridley Creek State Park

Ridley Creek State Park is a beautiful 1,200-acre park located just 30 miles from Devon. This state park is home to an abundance of wildlife and plants, including over 50 species of birds, numerous wildflowers, and a wide variety of trees and shrubs. Ridley Creek State Park has two lakes for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and boating.

The larger lake is stocked with trout to provide anglers with a great catch. There are also several hiking trails in the park that wind through wooded areas as well as along Ridley Creek. The largest trail is about 5 miles long and offers a challenging hike for those looking for more than just a walk in the woods.

French Creek State Park

This park is about an hour away from Devon. It’s located in the Pocono Mountains and has an abundance of hiking trails, scenic views, and waterfalls. The park also features a campground with rental cabins and other amenities. The cabins are perfect for families who want to spend time together while enjoying the great outdoors!

The park also has an annual festival called “Tunes in the Woods,” which takes place every summer over two weekends. The music lineup includes local bands as well as national acts like Guster and Aimee Mann.

Marsh Creek State Park

Marsh Creek State Park is a state park located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in the Harrisburg metropolitan area. The park is on a peninsula formed by Marsh Creek and the Susquehanna River. It has 2,000 acres of land, including woodlands, wetlands, meadows, and river shorelines. There are opportunities for hiking, fishing, and boating.

The park’s facilities include a nature center, amphitheater, and picnic areas with tables and grills. The park has several hiking trails that range from easy to difficult. The Appalachian Trail passes through the park, as well as many of its other trails. There are also several mountain biking trails throughout the park.
